The Northern Water Treatment Plant will manage the water associated with the coal seam gas from the QGC Northern Gas field. The NWTP is required to treat water from coal seam gas extraction for 20 years, commencing in 2013 and will purify 100 million litres of water a day.

Queensland contains the majority of Australia’s coal seam gas reserves. Recovering gas involves extracting associated water which then needs to be processed. The Kenya Water Treatment Plant is a project that will treat extracted water and process it so that it can be reused.

This project involved the structural steel fabrication and erection of Building 1 at the Aluminium & Aluminium Alloy Rod, Wire & Conductor Factory. The facility will have the capacity of over 50,000 MT. The facility is being set up adjacent to Tomago smelter and will receive molten aluminium from Tomago smelter.
This project is currently underway and is expected to be operational during the first half of 2014.
